Our 'Track of the Week' title holder for this week comes all the way from Malaita's bustling capital, Auki.
Entitled 'You No Livim Me', this track is written by Jugzman, a Malaitan artist who features Agi and the uprising Auki-based boy band, Bizzy Jam.
The song is a mixture of Solomon Islands pidgin and Kwara'ae, one of the widely spoken languages on Malaita.
'You No Livim Me' is a feel-good love song that talks about missing someone close to one's heart.
Jugzman can be heard in the first chorus and Agi is somehow harmoniously covering things in the background. Vocally speaking, the two are truly making their presence felt with this record.
Perhaps they (Jugzman and Agi) have made a wise choice in choosing Bizzy Jam to be part of the song.
The three members of Bizzy Jam have decorated the song amazingly with their signature styles.
Bizzy Jam, a Solomon Islands band that formed late last year (2019) after the release of their hit song 'Lord Howe Queen' consists of Smarzhay, Khala, and Solomon Islands uprising island songster, Stagga Bwoy, one of the voices in the famous Solomon Islands song, 'Slowly'.
The melody of the song, thanks to the collaborative vocals of the featured artists, will just make you want to turn up the volume, not to mention put it on repeat mode.
'You No Livim Me' is produced by the Auki-based Bizzy Recordz.
