Releasing a song on a week when your country's attention is centered on containing the just-arrived COVID-19 may not be a good idea.

But Young Davie, the popular Solomon Islands singing artist, took the risk and dropped his latest song 'Lele' on Sunday this week, first as a free download and then on YouTube, much to the delight of waiting fans who took to social media to echo praises for the brand new dance beat.

About a month ago, he released "Step Daddy", a single which is still trending on TikTok plus another dance drawer "Mi Like Come" a little over a week ago, another Tiktok hopeful which will surely win a lot of fans for the growing Isabel born singer.

"Lele" is about a broken romance involving a student nurse whose trip to an island in the Solomons for clinical attachment has resulted in an end to a 4-year long relationship.

Ironically, the beat of the song is not as sad as the story, a boss move by Davie which will soon land the track on TikTok, just like his previous hits.

Besides big names like Sean Rii, Young Davie is one of those local artists who knows just the right beat to make people dance.

The song is going live on Spotify very soon.
